The Brother HL-6050DN Monochrome Laser Printer offers strong features capable of servicing a small- to medium-sized office or workgroup setting. For a moderate price, users get access to quality text and gray scale graphics as well as high print speeds. Connectivity on the HL-6050DN is designed to increase networking abilities, and include a built-in Ethernet server that will work with a variety of computers and operating systems.
Features and Functionality
Print resolution on the Brother HL-6050DN is solid at 1200 x 1200 dpi, with an emphasis on quality for both text and gray scale graphics. Perfect for use with text documents, spreadsheets, and professional-level office documents, the HL-6050DN is able to produce prints at up to 25 pages per minute. It contains a paper input capacity of up to 600 sheets and is able to print on legal paper, bonded paper, transparencies, label paper, card stock, and envelopes. One of the additional features of this printer is the memory card slot that allows you to print directly from a digital camera SD card.
This kind of versatility is matched by the 32MB of memory, which is fully upgradeable for users with large or complex print jobs and multiple user queues. Double-sided printing features, which come standard on the Brother HL-6050DN, also allow you to create more than just simple documents. Connectivity for the office or workgroup is offered via a built-in Ethernet server as well as standard USB and Parallel interfaces that are ideal for home office users and personal work spaces.
Restocking the printer is made easy with the high-capacity Brother HL-6050DN toner. The HL-6050DN cartridges come in Black ink only, with a yield of up to 7,500 pages. The HL-6050DN uses the brother TN670 toner cartridge. Owners have the option of using compatible a compatible TN670 toner cartridge in this printer instead of the Brother branded version. Compatible cartridges offer a significant cost savings and will perform to the same standard as the OEM branded version when purchased from a reputable source. It is easy to replace via a flip-down front panel, and all HL-6050DN cartridges are built to provide crisp, clear images from the first print to the last.
